South Tundra and Forest-tundra

 The bushes of shrubby alder on the slopes are typical for south tundra subzone. Alder is an indicator of south tundra on the whole

Bushes of dwarf birch are abundant in south tundra, here is a lot of mushrooms - brown cup boletus
"Lukunsky" plot is the most north woodland in the world (forest island "Ary-Mas" is a  little southward
It is the most north find of treelike larch, it grows under the protection of steep slope on the latitude 72° 49'  n.
Larch (Larix gmelinii) has mainly a trailing form on the north bank of Khatanga river, but nevertheless it bear fruit
 The trailing larch occurs often on the elevated sandy hills, which are exposed to winds
Larch open woodland occurs sometimes in south tundra sub-zone. All trees are crooked by wind…

The cordon of Reserve “Lukunsky”  is placed on the north forest limit
